The Grave Charges

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of acts of sexual assault – some of which involve some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.

A senior CPS official said, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

Scope of the Investigation

These allegations come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
