Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt prepared to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can now articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the production, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to prevent the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order put a security hold on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" connected to the probe.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a public database listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

After the killings, public personalities shared divergent reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making provocative claims that were met with immediate backlash by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the critics recently. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan characterized the statements as "shocking" and suggested they demonstrated a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an aide should have intervened when the choice to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
