Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault

Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A young child was among those injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
